Happy Halloween!

Hey everyone, Happy All Hallow's Eve!! I got to one dance last Thursday at Lindy Groove and dressed up as... a Swiss Miss, German Barmaid or Saucy Wench.. pick your choice! (Pictures will be up as soon as I get a copy from Mariah!). Be safe and be well while trick-or-treating!!

If I don't fly home, I stay in Manhattan. A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to have a great friend visit me. Below is Marc and I at the World Trade Center and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We had a great time exploring this awesome city!! (Click on the photos for a better view!)

Airport Blog: Bizarro World

It's funny, I fly so much that I really don't think of others who fly on the plane with me... unless he's cute and has a great smile... but that's another story that will NEVER be blogged. OK, I digress. Anyway, I hate the way airlines count the flight as being on time as long as the doors close... but then the plane sits on the tarmac for another 2 hours. It's total b.s. to make their numbers.

The flight was long, as always. I got the low sodium dinner instead of the awful cheese pizza they serve every week. It was a nice change to get some fresh fruit and a salad rather than potato chips and a brownie. Hmmm, I'll have to keep that in mind. After landing, at the end of six hours, folks just wanted to get off the plane.

The exit door was behind First Class and in front of the main cabin. I was on the 3rd row getting all my bags together and started walking up the isle. Then I had to stop because the person coming out was - I don't know - talking to or thanking the airline attendant. I was beginning to impatient and the gentleman must have sensed it for he lifted up his arms and bowed his head as if to say, "Go on, little lady!" As I looked up to feign indifference, my expression quickly changed to a mix of surprise, embarrassment and awe.

All I could do was purse my lips into a crooked smile as the Rev. Jesse Jackson smiled back and let me through to the jetway...


and if that wasn't enough, Charo stood next to me as we both waited for our bags in baggage claim.


Bizarre indeed.
