Home for the holidays

Am writing this from Las Vegas. I dropped of my brother at the airport - he flew home today. I am driving home tomorrow morning with my grandmother. My brother commented, "You know, it was a great Christmas this year." I readily agreed. Our "extended" family has doubled in the last few years. It's all about the kids this year. Their excitement, wonder and innocence with Christmas is a sight to see! To be witness to their excitement as they received their presents was to remember what it was like to be their age at one time... long, long ago...in what seems like a galaxy far, far away...

We also went to mass this morning. It was the first time in a few years form me... and I missed it and enjoyed the format. Where my parents previously lived, in Chino Hills, the catholic mass - especially during holidays - have risen to a broadway-style show complete with an operatic choir and a 10-piece band. Anyway, it was good to hear a sermon from a priest that speaks to you like an old friend. I was glad to be there, especially with my family.

(My mom just came out and told me it's late and that I should be sleeping. She's right.)

Merry Christmas everyone and to all a good night!

All my love,

Jenny
