Guys, please pray for Eunice!

Hi guys, put in a special thought for Eunice and her kids. She was one of the 1/2 million folks that had to evacuate. The fires were a few lights from where she lives. No updates for now, but just keep her in your prayers. Thanks.

Guy Savoy at Caesar's Palace

This has got to be one of the best places to dine in all of Las Vegas. Pronounced "Gee Sav-u-ah", Guy Savoy sits on the 2nd floor of Caesar's Palace, next to the wedding chapel.

It's ultra-modern and very French! Marc and I had dinner there and enjoyed their grilled fois gras appetizer, black and white truffle soup, filet and lobster dinner. There's a plethora of carts!! A champagne cart that greets you. A wine book that commands it's own tableside podium for viewing. An artisan bread cart which has the most delicious and savory breads! (Although, sad to say, the gentleman cutting our bread dropped the knife, picked it up off the floor and proceeded to continue cutting for us and for others...)

All in all, it was the near-perfect flavors and impeccable service and staff that made eating at this restaurant enjoyable. Our reason for going? Because Hung was a sous chef here prior to becoming Top Chef. Now we better understand his techniques and why he deserved it.

Star Spotting: William Fichtner

Ok, since I am on a roll, I might as well tell you guys about another actor run-in a few months ago. My brother and I was in line with another actor at our favorite breakfast haunt (can't say cuz, although we're not actors, we like to keep some parts of our lives private as well ;). Of course, it's face recognizion only, but I looked him up, and he's William Fichtner. I've seen him in a dozen movies, most notably, Contact with Jodie Foster. He was also in Blades of Glory and a few "Grace Under Fire" episodes. Cool guy, nice family.

Star Spotting: Ayre Gross

Ok, I'll start a new Star Spotting mini-articles on my blog. The other night, I was at my favorite Whole Foods when the person before me was taking a bit of time choosing his food from the cold foods bar. I recognized him as Adam, one of my favorite characters from the "Ellen" show. But being typical Jenny, had no clue what the actor's name was. So I waited until he finally settled on a rosemary chicken breast. Good for him! I looked on and found out his name is Ayre Gross. He had a very cute family in tow too! Hi Ayre, am the patient fan next to you!

Quote of the Day - Muhammad Ali

"The fight is won or lost far away from witness - behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights."

(I love that guy!)
